Outline the Categories in your Business
Let’s take a Shopify store, for example. Let’s say the store sells T-shirts, mugs and shorts. Those are three categories within their business that they are going to want to create boards for. For each category, you can then outline the sub categories. I urge you to write them down.
For each subcategory, you are going to create 2 or 3 boards. The name of the subcategories will be the keywords you will use to do your keyword research on Pinterest in order to find SEO friendly board titles.
Create the Boards
Once you have your SEO friendly board titles, start creating them and adding them to your profile. Hold up, you’re not ready to pin yet.
Next comes the board descriptions. These are more important than you think. It is important to create board descriptions that are read in natural language and that do not contain hashtags. Luckily for you, I have a board description template you can download and customize for your board topic.
How to Pin to Your Boards
Now you’re all set to start pinning! Make sure the pins you pin are relevant to the boards you are pinning them to. Avoid re-pinning as well since it hurts your Pinterest account.
