Welcome back to Kordial Media’s blog! This week, let’s talk about Pinterest conversions and how to get clicks to your site and eventually, sales!
? Get clicks to your site by utilizing text overlay on graphics
Pinterest reads what is on your graphics, and so do users. Add a formal call to action to your graphics to boost clicks. For example: “visit here”, “learn more”, “shop now”, “try it today”…
? Get clicks to your site by adding a call to action in your description
The description of a pin gets truncated, but the first sentence is normally visible. Utilize the first sentence for your call to action. I like to start with “Visit here to see…. on NAME OF SITE now!”. You are more likely to get clicks with a call to action sentence.
? Increase site conversions by removing popups
Instead of a popup, integrate a lead capture within your blog posts or as a bar at the very top of your site. This is a much better way to collect emails, without disturbing the user experience. Pinterest users are more likely to stay on your site if there is no popup in the way.
Another great way to collect emails subtly is to set up an exit intent pop up. The popup only comes up when the user is ready to leave the site.
What’s great about collecting emails in a non-invasive way is that they are more likely to give you their email to begin with and, you can then retarget them organically by sending emails every week with different tips, links and/or products you’re selling!
? Increase store conversions by running Pinterest campaigns
Campaigns are a stable way to increase site traffic and therefore, conversions. Retargeting web visitors through a campaign increases store sales significantly.
? Increase blog conversions by learning how to monetize your blog
How to monetize a blog? 3 ways: installing ads such as Adsense, adding affiliate links in a clever way to encourage clicks (get the “Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing” training for help on this), lastly, pitching for sponsored posts!
How to pitch brands for sponsored work? You can send out 60 emails DAILY to stores in your area showing them your stats or telling them you can increase their exposure. They are sometimes more than happy to provide you with items and even compensation depending on how big their budgets are. When it comes to increasing compensations for sponsored content, the more traffic your site gets, the better!
That’s it for today!
