Welcome back to Kordial Media’s blog! Today, I wanted to talk about how to use Tailwind in light of the recent Pinterest algorithm changes!
What Changed on Pinterest?
As of recently, Pinterest has pivoted towards becoming more of a social media, as opposed to a search engine. Although you can still drive a good amount of traffic to your site, you definitely should consider adapting to the new changes as well. That includes adapting your Tailwind strategy.
Why change your Tailwind Strategy?
One of the new changes Pinterest has made is to prioritize new, fresh content, as opposed to re-pins. Pinterest also wants you to share your own content as opposed to pinning other people’s content.
That means, Tailwind Tribes are no longer useful.
What about scheduling pins?
Well, since Pinterest doesn’t like re-pins anymore. You might want to drastically drop your scheduled pins to about 7 times per day.
As well, you can now schedule your pins with Pinterest’s own scheduler, straight on the platform.
What use Tailwind for then?
Tailwind unfortunately might become completely unnecessary after the next Pinterest algorithm update. However, for now, you can use Tailwind to create pins, and schedule pins 7 times a day.
They released a new feature called “Tailwind Create”. It’s great for someone who dislikes creating pins and wants to get the task done fast. Give it a try if this is of use to you!
