Then you want to utilize a lifestyle image, okay, within your pin. It’s super important to showcase your product in a lifestyle way, as opposed to just having a product picture of it. Next, you want to make sure you add an engaging text overlay. You want to have a call to action that’s really interesting. A little bit, I mean, something as simple as shop our products could work, but if you have something a little bit more quirky in the back of your mind, or you know that a call to action has worked on your creatives in the past, then make sure to utilize that one for your static images too, for your promoted pins.
Last thing you want to add is your branding. So super important to have your branding so that people recognize your brand. You can build brand awareness and you get a higher chance of conversion when it comes to retargeting too. Now with video images, it’s the same criteria. It should be 2:3 dimension. It should have an engaging call to action. It should have text overlay. It should have your branding. But the difference here is that your lifestyle shot becomes a lifestyle video, showcasing your product or service.
You also want to be aware of the sound that you’re using because the sound, most Pinterest users don’t watch with sound on. And they only watch for about eight seconds. You want to make sure to captivate everybody with your text overlay and the way that you filmed your video. You can also take it a notch further and utilize closed captions in your videos. It really helps boost click through rate because it works with the SEO of the algorithm.
