Welcome back to Kordial Media’s blog! Today, I wanted to talk about outdated Pinterest strategies you should no longer be doing!
?Pinning 50 Times a Day
If you’re going to pin content, it has to be fresh, it has to be spaced out and it has to be under 25 pins a day.
?Using Tailwind Tribes
One of the new changes Pinterest has made is to prioritize new content, as opposed to re-pins. Pinterest also wants you to share your own content as opposed to pinning other people’s content. That means, Tailwind Tribes are no longer useful, as they were originally used as groups to boost your stats.
? Uploading all Your Pins at Once
Pinterest no longer wants the same link to be pinned at the same time. Wait a few hours in-between pinning from the same link to avoid being marked as spam.
?Using Group Boards
Pinterest caught on to the fact that group boards were being used to boost impressions, as opposed to being used to collaborate and share content with others like it was intended. Therefore, they are no longer valuing the impressions or prioritizing pins shared to group boards.
?Avoiding New Features
If Pinterest releases a new feature, it’s in your best interest to utilize it. as they favour accounts that work with all their tools. Gone are the days when you could upload 100 pin graphic images and call it a day. Now you should be using the Pinterest scheduler, Story pins, videos pins and more, even if you don’t understand the value of all the features!
?Re-Pinning Your Own or other People’s Viral Pins
Again, since re-pins are not prioritized, pinning content over and over will no longer serve you.
That’s it for today!
