How to Post Pins from Canva

First thing we are going to do is actually connect our free Canva account with Pinterest. If you don’t have a Canva account, you can sign up here. They have a free plan that’s free forever.

Once you have that, now I’d like to create a design that will be the right dimensions for Pinterest that respects the Pinterest best practices. So usually we like to do a 1000 X 1500 px. We’re going to create a new design, and then we are going to just add in a template of some sort. Let’s say that I then choose a title as well as an image.

If you want free Canva graphic templates that respect the Pinterest best practices, my graphic designer created templates for you that you can download and add straight to your Canva account.

Sync Canva and Pinterest

Now because I want to post my graphic to Pinterest, I’m going to go ahead and sync my Canva account with Pinterest. I’m going to click the three dots up on the right. I’m going to click “see all”, and then I’m going to click “Pinterest” to connect the two.

Next you want to choose a board that relates 100% to your graphic because relevancy matters when it comes to ranking your pins. Then you will go ahead and fill out the title and the write a keyword rich description. Make sure to download my pin description template too, because it’s written in natural language and respects Pinterest best Practices.

Now, once I have my template, I can paste it and then add a website. Lastly, all you would do is click publish.

All right. That covers exactly how you can post pins directly from your Canva account. If you’d like to work with me, feel free to book a free meeting with me as well. I hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
