Want to know how to create a Pinterest Account and claim your website? Keep reading to find out how!
? Have a business account
This is totally free, but the benefit is you get the analytics for your account, which you’ll need for refining your strategy over time. Simply go to Pinterest.com and select “Create a business account”. Fill out all required information. If you already have a Pinterest account, you can convert it to a business account in the settings.
? Optimize your profile settings
Add your logo as your profile picture. Make the display name the same as your website, with the addition of a long tail key word that describes what your site is about. Adding a keyword in your title helps your account and pins rank. Don’t forget Pinterest is a search engine and that the only way to get visibility is through keywords.
As for the username, I would also select the same name as your website.
Lastly, you want to use the short description section called “about your profile” to describe exactly who you help in your business. Don’t add hashtags or a link here since they’re not clickable.
? Claim your website
Simply select the “claim” tab on the left hand side of the settings, and follow the steps indicated by Pinterest.
Claiming your site can take up to 24 hours.
It’s important to claim your site for optimal Pinterest performance and credibility. It tells Pinterest that the pins associated to that specific link belong to your account.
? Enable Rich Pins
Rich Pins are necessary, as they allow you to truly make your pins stand out from others and highlight your article titles.

What’s great today is that Pinterest now has a title section when you upload a pin. Be sure to always fill the title/name section of the pin to help your pins rank.

There you have it! Hope this helped you find out how to create a Pinterest Account and claim your website.
